It is super exciting to see a project come to life, even if the early stages are fugly. That’s where we are with Keely App, friends! This gives you a sneak peek into how the reader-side will function, side-bar and all!

Like I said, fugly. But the pieces are there: the story pane, the nav/wiki pane, the active links. This is obviously a place holder chapter, the live site will have the whole “Family Feud” story (more on that in another post). The final version of this will look a bit nicer and have a lot more parts to it. 

And then there is the story homepage:

Again, very basic! No cover image, wonky spacing, and incomplete metadata. But you can see how things are going to be placed moving forward. 

It’s really exciting to see this come together, and as I write this, I don’t even have a website or blog to share the news on yet! (I assume if you are reading this then I got my act together at some point.) 

One of the reasons I wanted to get the reader site up and running is because what is seen there determines what the author app will need to account for. I’ve already gone back and forth a few times; I remembered credits but not acknowledgments, for instance. Right now there are dozens of entries in the decision log, and it’s early days yet!
